I have been interested in fashion for most of my 31 years, and over time I have realised how important it is to own high-quality, timeless pieces. Trends may change every year, but the foundations of a good wardrobe rarely do. Sometimes I look at photos of my mum when she was my age and think, ‘I could wear that outfit today.’ That’s when I realized some timeless wardrobe essentials truly stay forever..
White Shirt
A white shirt is definitely a must-have in your wardrobe. I own three different white shirts—one oversized, one more fitted and one with short sleeves for summer. It always saves me on days when I want something simple to wear, and it works for almost any occasion.
Blazer
A blazer is another wardrobe essential. I have oversized, tailored and matching suit-set blazers. With heels it creates a formal look, while trainers make it perfect for a casual day out.

Blue Jeans
Quality matters more than style. Levi’s are my favourite because they last for years, although they are more expensive. Zara and Massimo Dutti also make great options. Vinted is another fantastic place to find quality denim. Read my article ‘How to Look Elegant Without Spending a Fortune’ to learn more tips how to shop on budget.

Trench Coat
A trench coat never really goes out of style. It works across seasons and is easy to style with almost any outfit. I bought mine on Vinted and it is a true gem in my wardrobe.

Little Black Dress
The classic little black dress is a wardrobe staple that I will always recommend. Whenever you feel like you have nothing to wear for a special occasion, it comes to the rescue.
White Trainers
White trainers are my most-worn summer shoes because they are comfortable and go with almost everything. My Moschino trainers have been with me since 2020 and remain one of my best fashion purchases.

Cashmere or Wool Jumper
A good-quality cashmere or wool jumper keeps you warm and remains a wardrobe favourite for years. It works beautifully with tailored trousers, skirts or jeans.
Leather Loafers
Choose genuine leather. I once bought faux leather loafers and they lost their shape quickly. A quality leather pair is worth the investment.
Structured Handbag
Quality is more important than a visible logo. I like practical handbags from accessible designer and premium fashion brands such as Guess, Love Moschino and Massimo Dutti. If buying on Vinted, always check authenticity carefully.
Quality Jewellery
Whether silver-plated or gold, good jewellery lasts for years. I wear a minimalist gold necklace from my mum and a watch that instantly makes any outfit feel more polished.
Timeless wardrobe essentials aren’t about owning more clothes. It’s about choosing pieces you’ll still love years from now. I still wear shoes I’ve owned for more than six years. Owning fewer, better-quality pieces has saved me money and made getting dressed easier.
